Necessary ski/snowboard equipment
Skiing and Snowboarding can be fairly expensive sports and require a fair amount of specialized clothing to keep you warm, dry, and safe on the mountain. A basic checklist for the things you will probably need is included below. Keep in mind, not everyone needs the same quality equipment. For example, an athlete that goes back-country skiing is going to need heavier duty gear than a beginner is going to need.
Ski/Snowboard Jackets: Ski/Snowboard Pants: Gloves/Mittens: Glove Liners (extra warmth): Goggles (BASIC): Face Mask: Helmet (BASIC) Long Underwear: Ski/Snowboard Socks: Sock Liners: Foot/Hand Warmers : Sun Screen For more purchasing information on the above items, be sure to visit the drop-down 'buyers guide' at the top of the page. |
Keep in mind these prices are ranges from the cheapest to the most expensive products you can find. Just because a product is cheap does not mean it's a bad product. Keeping that in mind, you get what you do get what you pay for, but what you pay for is not always what you need. Be sure to consult store's salespersons, online assistance, and product reviews to determine what you need and product quality!
